"mexican basket weave"? Looks more like a round braid to me. Time to educate the masses... *hefts Contradiction Stick*

Pretty pretty work. Nifty use too.

I've heard it called both by people that have been lacing many, many years. Still though i could be wrong.

Thank you. Truth be told i'm using this one. I made another just like it but much darker on the edges and tooled his nickname on the bottom piece where the single skull is on this one.

Ah, very good. Lucky you,.........lucky him ;>

I am very curious though, will you use this? If so are there any precautions you take to keep it from getting paint-a-fied? I would think there is, but i'm not sure what it would be:O_o:.

Again, wonderful job!!

Yeah there is. I buffed it thoroughly and sealed it 3 times with a sealer called super sheen. It has already seen playing time and been covered in paint. It all wiped right off with just a rag. Most paintball paint is washable to begin with and most fields will only allow those types of paint.

Thank goodness for super sheen :>

Thanks for getting back to me.

This is exceptional, your skill at leather working is awe inspiring. LOL at first I thought that this was a cover for a half sized O2 canister (like for people who need to be on oxygen all the time) and found it rather funny, but then reading the other comments I saw it was for a paintball gun canister and all I can think is I would hate to get this damaged

Thanks. It was used a few weeks ago. I buffed and sealed it 3 times. It took a direct hit and the paint wiped right off with ease after the match. I wasn't really sure how well the paint would come off. So i'm pretty happy.

I couldn't tell what it was because the nozzle looks so different than my tanks. I'm not big into skulls, but that's really cool. Love the colours. I would hate to get paint on it, though. I can't believe someone is going to risk that. :lick:

Thanks for the complement and the way i play paintball the world is safe.

It's 3 pieces of leather that are laced together with kangaroo lace . I used velcro under the flap to close it on the mid section and snap on the top.

I quick summary on how the tooling was done , this is a fairly simple how to [link]

Thank you. We played paintball a few weeks ago and after checking out the cover a guy asked if i was a tattoo artist. I'm inspired by them in my designs and wish i had the talent most of them have. I spend hours drawing and redrawing before i get what i like.
